Lent KAL 2026 Starter Kit - WoW Marble & Fluff

All you need to take part in the Lent Knitalong hosted by Lyn Lloyd-Jones of Victoria Methodist Church, Bristol. 

This year's make is a shawl/poncho, with weekly emails containing daily knitting clues with accompanying reflections which have very kindly been written by seven different Ministers and worship leaders for this knitalong. Users of Facebook are also welcome to join the dedicated group Victoria Methodist Bristol Knitalongs where the patterns and reflections will also be shared, and knitters can share progress, ask technical knitting questions and discuss thoughts on the reflections.

The pattern for the Lent KAL is presented in four size options:

• Size 1: Teen/XS, to fit 28-35 inch chest
• Size 2: S/M, to fit 36-42 inch chest
• Size 3: L/XL/2XL, to fit 43-51 inch chest
• Size 4: 3XL/4XL/5XL, to fit 52-61 inch chest

This Starter Kit contains the following:

• 6/7/8/9x 50g Balls of either World of Wool Fluff (100% Merino) OR Marble (80% Merino, 20% Silk). Both yarns are available to purchase separately - here for Fluff and here for Marble - if you would like more, or any alternative colours. 
• 1x set of 4.5mm 80cm wooden circular knitting needles. 
• 6x stitch markers 
• 1x tapestry needle

The yarn colours have been carefully selected by Lyn. The quantities of yarn are sufficient to knit the full shawl/poncho and have some leftovers; if you are wanting to make adaptations to the pattern, you will need to purchase extra yarn separately using the links above.

No Frills Knitting is unable to offer any alternative colours, add additional balls or remove the needles from these Starter Packs as they have been pre-made especially for the Lent Knitalong. Both No Frills Knitting and Lyn are unable to respond to any questions or queries regarding alterations to the Starter Packs.
