Colourwork sweater knit from the top down in Tynn Peer Gynt. It has a straight cut with the classic Marius pattern.
This knitting pattern also contains instructions to be knitted from the bottom up.
Construction:
First, the back piece is worked back and forth with the pattern according to the diagram, down to under the sleeves. Knit stitches along the cast-on edge of the back piece for the shoulder on each side. Knit each side of the front piece back and forth with the pattern according to the diagram, and cast on new stitches for the neckline, before knitting the parts together. Knit the front piece with the pattern to the same length as the back piece. Gather the piece under the sleeves and knit the front and back piece in the round in stocking stitch and finish with rib. Knit the sleeves in the round from the top down with the pattern according to the diagram at the top of the sleeves.
